Via our website cookies are placed to make the website function in a proper way. Within the EROUTES app, no cookies are used that process personal data. Here we explain what cookies are, what they do, and why they do it.
What do cookies do?
Cookies are small (text)files which a webpage server places on your computer, tablet, or other electronic devices (hereafter “computer”) when you visit a webpage. Because the cookie is on your computer the webpage server recognizes your computer. A cookie cannot start programs or spread viruses. Cookies are predominantly placed on websites.
From the moment they are placed on a computer, cookies have a specific validity period.
After this period has ended, the cookie is removed from your browser. For some cookies, the duration of your browser visit is also the validity period, but there are also cookies with a longer validity period. These cookies can be read out during the following visit to our website.
Refusal and removal of cookies
U can adapt the settings of your browser or your smartphone in such a way that cookies are not stored, you can allow or refuse any cookie and you can have all cookies removed on closing your browser.
Cookies are placed on every computer you visit websites with. In case you do not want to receive cookies anymore, you have to change the settings on all computers you use. Bear in mind that refusing or removing cookies also has an influence on the strictly necessary cookies. This, however, does not limit the use of the website.
You can remove cookies or have them placed at any moment (and yet still withdraw or give your permission) If you have refused permission to place cookies and you remove the cookies which have registered that, you will be asked for permission again when you visit our website. Most browsers can be set in such a way that cookies are accepted, are not accepted (anymore), or that you are informed when receiving a cookie. The instructions to change your browser settings and to remove cookies can be found in the instructions and/or under the ‘Help’ function (in the toolbar) of most browsers.
At any given time you can object against the use of personal data for marketing purposes and/or against the (further) receipt of (specific) marketing information by sending a termination request to email@example.com.
You have the right to request EROUTES to give you access to your personal data – processed by EROUTES as responsible in the sense of the General Data Protection Regulation – and/or (where applicable) correct, complement, remove or block. A request to gain access and/or correct has to be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
All requests for information sent to email@example.com need to be accompanied by a valid identification of the requesting party, whereby the responsible data manager is allowed to verify the identity of the requesting party in order to protect the privacy of the parties involved in case of unidentified requests.
